What is Agroforestry?

Agroforestry is the intentional integration of woody perennials (trees, shrubs, & bamboos) among food crops and animals (such as chickens, livestock, or bees). Agroforestry can also include the integration of fruit and nut trees among food crops. In general, nature abhors a monoculture, which is inevitably why the most pristine lawn will have weeds. My philosophy is to include a diversity of the plants you like to reduce the number of plants you don't.
